Sibling bonding while homeschooling

Lady Tor Tor and Emi-lou, chilling together.
Since we started to homeschool this year I have noticed a major change in how my girls interact and play together.  School time is usually done all together at the Kitchen Table.  I had originally made a homeschooling room, and we have a big table in there, and at first it worked fairly decent, but I was finding that trying to keep the little ones busy, give them the option of going to go play while we did school, was a bit of challenge Because I could not be 2 places at once.

We found that Books, pencils, markers and everything have to come with us to the kitchen, now. So we are learning where this is going to work and Not, once my girls are little more independent the homeschool room will probably work much better, once again.   However they are 6 and 3, and where we do school work is less important right now.

Since we started this September I have noticed a change in how my girls relate to each other.  There is 3 1/2 years between Lady Tor Tor and Emi-lou, and 19 months between Emi-lou and Lady A.  Lady Tor Tor, like to have her personal space, and play in peace, but she will also gladly play house, restaurant, or cooking with her little sister.  They are rarely apart. They share a room, and they share homeschool time. But I really do try to make and effort to give them time with each with just mommy, and alone.  I am hoping that as time goes on that they will all continue to develop this beautiful bond that is happening between them.   I never had sisters, so I would not know what it really feels like to have forever friends built right into your life.  Now some might say, siblings that are homeschooled get sick of each other.  The thing is, my kids all have very distinct personalities and they will like doing different things I am sure.  Some things they will do together,  but I think homeschooled kids have a chance to pursue what they love more so then the school system kids, because we have time to explore what they love.  Lady Tor Tor, loves to Dance,  she loves to act, and she loves to sing.  Eli-lou much more shy of a little person, and loves to help people, she is always very aware of her little sister and watches her like a hawk and although the two are always at each others throats, they adore each other.  Eli-lou also loves to Dance and Sing, and thrives on positive comments.  She needs reassurance all the time. She is very sensitive to if she breaks something and usually bursts into tears.  She is very sensitive stubborn soul.  Lady A is 20 months so, we have yet to see her likes and dislikes but she is certainly a spit fire and always has a smirk or a can of beat up my sisters in my pocket.  She is our cheesy queen. Homeschooling my kids is going to be a challenge, and I know that there are going to be days when we struggle big time, but I think we will have more good days then bad days.   They challenge me as mom to keep them motivated at times, and I feel like I wear many hats in a day, but that is motherhood for ya.  Soon baby K #4 will arrive and the mix will be changed up again.   I just love seeing my children develop their relationships with each other. It is happening right before my eye's and it is pretty amazing to see.
